Dante: Good Morning Mr. Nipper! How are you today?

Mr Nipper: Good, and how about yourself? Come on in, let’s get this interview started.

Dante: I’m doing alright, a little tired but I’m okay (laughed) so to start things off how long have you been practicing medicine?

Mr Nipper: About 16 years now, I graduated from Tulane

Dante: what type of medicine do you specialize in?

Mr Nipper: Family Practice and Emergency medicine. Right now I’m working in the ER so I’m dealing more with Emergency Medicine.

Dante: The ER is always a pretty crazy place

Mr Nipper: (laughs) you don’t know the Half of it. But through it all you have to always to keep a level head and make sure you’re doing the right thing to better the well-being of whoever you’re Treating

Dante: why Did you want to start practicing Medicine?

Dr. Nipper: I’ve always wanted to help people as I grew up and the way medicine is constantly changing and finding new ways to better the lives of everyone has always interested me. My Best friend’s dad was a doctor when I grew up and I just remember thinking that would be a great thing to do with my life one day.

Dante: Did you want any of your kids to go into the profession?

Dr. Nipper: I’ve always known they would go off and do their own things in life that make them happy. As you know AJ is off in Mobile and Aiden is still in middle school, so he has plenty of time to figure things out. Austin however is trying to get into medicine and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t at least a little happy to see him going down this path. (laughed slightly)

Dante: (laughs) So where are you practicing now?

Dr. Nipper: I was at Florida hospital over on A1A but since it closed for repairs from Irma I’m over to Florida Memorial Hospital by 95 (highway I-95) to give them a hand with the influx of patients that are now going there to be treated along with the patients that were transferred.

Dante: Do you think the hospital will re-open soon?

Dr. Nipper: I hope so, but right now it’s still scheduled to undergo repairs for a few more months. (pager buzzed, called in for emergency and had to leave interview. Rescheduled later)
